Anything from my past doesn't make me who I am today and I've been through many things in my life. I consider my past , including people that I knew, exactly that, my past! I am a new person today, meaning that, I am improved. What others talk about today shouldn't phase me, if it involves my past. The only thing that should matter, is that I feel better about the changes I've made and those things should be the only things that stand out to me. They say that when you're doing wrong, the only memories you have are the good ones and that's what keeps you coming back for more insanity. I guess that's why now that I'm doing great, the bad memories hurt my feelings. I refuse to be hurt! I'm going to use this pain as motivation. I will succeed and that's what bothers my enemies because it makes them feel good to remember all the bad things about me. That's the only thing they have to make them feel good about themselves.Whoever I choose to let into my life, will be nothing but positive, because I've seen evil inside and out and I definetely know the difference. The long road that I've traveled wasn't fabulous, but today I know this, it has made me mature, plus wise. This wisdom allows me to make better choices in my life and I have. I don't regret any of my life, it made me who the strong person I am today. Everything happens in life for a reason, they say. I'm proud to know that today, I'm cautious and concious about everything going in my life. That's a beautiful thing, that I'll never take for granted, ever again. I am ready for anything that the lord hands me and always have been, he's taken me far. I'm ready to see what he has in store for me next! I'm sure the hell in my life is far behind me, on lock, where it should be, which is my choice. For this reason, my new beginning started a few years ago, but my brand new beginning that is based on concentrating on family, education, vitality, happiness, self-awareness, begins today. :)

I watched the election and I wrote a paper for my class. It went so well, that I decided to add it to my blog.
There were many speakers supporting Mitt Romney. He is an American businessman and politician. During the election, he accepted the nominee for the Republican Party for President of the United States in the 2012 election. Many of the well-known supporters included, but not limited to, Nicki Haley, Ann Romney, Chris Christie, Condelezza Rice, Paul Ryan, Clint Eastwood, and Mitt Romney.

Election
There were many speakers supporting Mitt Romney. He is an American businessman and politician. During the election, he accepted the nominee for the Republican Party for President of the United States in the 2012 election. Many of the well-known supporters included, but not limited to, Nicki Haley, Ann Romney, Chris Christie, Condelezza Rice, Paul Ryan, Clint Eastwood, and Mitt Romney.
The
speeches were extremely motivating and ended similarly with god bless America.
Nicki Haley spoke about her family’s business and mentioned that the president
can’t tell her that her parents didn’t build their own business. She also said
that the president will do everything he can to stand in the way of people owning
businesses. She voiced how Mitt Romney took a failing Olympics and made it
prideful. She expressed that Ann Romney, his wife, was a silver bullet, had
strength and grace, and is an inspiration to her family and other women. She
expressed that we deserve better. Nicki Haley lastly declared that we need to
protect retirement and strengthen the military, not destabilize it. We also,
need to fight for American companies, not against them.
Ann
Romney asked everyone in the beginning of her speech to pray that during
hurricane Isaac all remained safe from destruction. She began by declaring that
her speech was not about politics or party, but from heart, our hearts. Her
speech was about love. It was about the love for her husband, children, parents
paying mortgage, single dads and their children, children longing to be like
other children, working mothers, and couples that can’t afford to have
children. She mentioned that women hold this country together and that they are
the best, the hope of America. She said that women aren’t dumb enough to accept
that there aren’t better answers. She expressed that tabloids say that they
have a storybook marriage. She stated that their days consisted of five boys
screaming all day, multiple sclerosis, breast cancer, etc. Ann Romney declared
that they had a real marriage. She believes that Mitt Romney will move heaven
and earth for America because he wasn’t handed success, he built it. I admired
when she said that her husband doesn’t like to talk about others he has helped,
he sees it as a privilege, not a political talking point. Her last statements
included, give and it shall be given unto you, dreams fulfilled help others
launch new dreams. She added that this man will not fail because he never
failed her, he will not let us down. She said that he will lift up America and
our future; we can trust Mitt will take us to a better place, give America that
chance.
Chris
Christie stated that he was proud of his state, party, and country. He spoke
about his mother being the stronghold of the family. She taught him the lesson
in life that there would be times in life when he would have to choose between
being loved or respected. On this election night he chose to be respected. He
articulated that history showed that we always stand when it counts. He said
today’s government ideas have failed America, we believe in being truthful and all
the math doesn’t add up. He spoke on the focus that we need to cut federal
spending and reduce the size of the government. He declared that our senior
citizens and teachers were being treated unjustly. He said that America needs
to send real leaders into the white house. He revealed that leadership is
missing today and that real leaders don’t follow polls, real leaders change
polls. He brought up that we have never been victims of destiny, but that we
are the masters of our own. He believed that our generation should read about a
strong economic growth. Chris Christie ended with we all must share in the
sacrifice and truth will bare when we finally answer the call, Mitt Romney, for
American greatness.
Condoleezza Rice stated that
people of conscience and faith have shown the soul of this country and that we
feel like we are carrying the burden. She mentioned that we cannot be reluctant
to lead and that we cannot lead from behind. She cited that peace comes from
strength. She pointed out that her mom was a teacher. She respects the profession and we need great
teachers, not poor ones and not mediocre ones.
She stated that we have to have high standards for our kids, because
self-esteem comes from achievement, not from tax standards and false praise. Sadly,
she declared, we are abandoning free and fair trade and it will come back to
haunt us, we shouldn’t let energy and dependence slip through our hands. She
revealed that greatness is built on mobilizing human potential and ambition,
plus people come to America because people from all over the world believe in
the American dream. She added that Americans have been successful too because
Americans have known that one's status of birth is not a permanent condition.
Americans have believed that you might not be able to control your circumstances
but you can control your response to your circumstances. She
ended lastly by saying, this is an election of consequence and the freest and
most compassionate country on the face of the earth will continue to be the
most powerful and a beacon for prosperity and liberty across the world.
Paul
Ryan accepted his nomination for vice president. He stated that the nation
needed a turnaround. He spoke on how the president is just throwing away money
with all his attack ads and that he is pretty experience at that. He revealed
that Obama came to office during an economic crisis, we voted, people loved the
sound of it. Obama promised recovery to many towns, many are unemployed. Nearly
1 in 6 Americans are in poverty. Half of the educated people today can’t find
any work. Why will the next four years be any different from the last four
years? Half of the American continent could stretch a long line of people unemployed
in America. The greatest threat to Medicare is Obama care and America is going
to stop it. He said that our nation needs this debate, we want this debate, and
we will win this debate. He stated that many are grasping on a moment that’s
already passed, like a ship trying to sail on yesterday’s wind. Obama needs to
stop spending money he doesn’t have, 16 trillion in debt and the president is still
doing nothing and when the obvious is pointed out to him, we are attacked. I
admired when he spoke about his mother starting a small business. He stated
that his mom started a small business, and he’s seen what it takes. His mother
was 50 when my Dad died. She got on a
bus every weekday for years, and rode 40 miles each morning to Madison. She
earned a new degree and learned new skills to start her small business. It wasn't just a new livelihood. It was a new life. And it transformed his Mom from a widow in
grief to a small businesswoman whose happiness wasn't just in the past. Her
work gave her hope. It made their family
proud. And to this day, his Mom is his role model. He ended with a pledge that
they will not duck the tough issues, they will lead. They will not spend the
next four years blaming others, they will take responsibility. They will not try
to replace our founding principles; they will reapply our founding principles.
Clint
Eastwood was endearing, amusing, and an unexpected guest. He said funny words
like, “hot dogging it” and he had the audience finish and he started a known
quote from one of his movies “Go ahead, make my day.” He mentioned the last
election that it was very Hollywood by having a fog machine and lights, Oprah
and everyone was crying, including him. He said that he hasn’t cried that hard
since, he heard that there were 23 million people unemployed in this country.
It is a national disgrace. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the invisible Obama
skit. He asked Obama a few questions and the times when he mentioned issues
that weren’t to be mentioned, Clint Eastwood would say, “No I’m not going to do
that to myself” and no, “I not going to tell Mr. Romney to do that to himself.”
Last,
but not least, Mitt Romney came out and on the way to the podium he shook
everyone’s hands. One man tried to take a picture and security stood in front
of him, I laughed. Romney stated that he will create 12 million new jobs by
expanding domestic energy production, improving education and training, forging
new trade agreements with other countries, balancing the budget, and helping
businesses grow. “What America needs is jobs,” Romney stated. “Lots of jobs.”
Romney said he will not increase taxes on the middle class. The United States
will be independent from energy suppliers outside of North America by 2020,
Romney said. Romney said he would “preserve a military that is so strong, no
nation would ever dare to test it.” “Under my administration, our friends will
see more loyalty, and Mr. Putin will see a little less flexibility and more
backbone,” Romney said. Romney said he would be a defender of small businesses,
which he described as “America’s engine of job growth.” Taxes on businesses
would be cut, not increased, under a Romney administration, he said. He would
also abolish President Barack Obama’s health care law in order to “rein in the
skyrocketing cost of healthcare.” Romney made a blunt appeal to this critical demographic
by noting that women held significant positions during his term as
Massachusetts governor. He listed several of the women, including former
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who addressed the Republican National
Convention, and he also mentioned that his mother, Lenore Romney, had once run
for the U.S. Senate. Romney stressed that his business background at Bain
Capital, a private equity firm he helped start in 1984, makes him better
qualified than Obama to turn around a struggling American economy. Among the
successful companies Bain helped start, Romney said, are Staples, The Sports
Authority, and Steel Dynamics, a steel mill in Indiana. Romney tied his Mormon
faith to the American experience. His family originated community and kinship
with “remarkably vibrant and diverse congregations” that prayed together and
were quick to help each other out. He said that growing up Mormon in Michigan
may have appeared out of place, but his friends cared more about the sports
teams they followed, than what church he and his household went to.

It was time for me to redo my highlights, so I went in to
my salon www.elitegrouphair.com. I
was offered the opportunity to be a model for a new hair product. How exciting!
I was told that this new product would tame my curls, which by the way were
extremely tight. I was interested! I came back the next day and I agreed to let
the inventor of the product apply it into my hair. His pic is at the bottom.
After the application, imagine my surprise, when my short
hair hit the side of my face. I was so amazed that my hair was longer! In the
end, the most amazing part to me was that I could easily wear my hair curly or
straight!! This product is amazing and I don’t believe that I would ever want
to live without it. www.caribbeandreamrelaxer.com. If you check out the website, you can even find my picture in the gallery. Just recently, I was asked if I would like to be on their poster. I was so honored to do it because I love my hair now and this product is fabulous!
Here are the pics of my great hair day!
Even better news...I'm going to be on their poster!
Here's is my latest update on the poster:

A few people wanted to take my journey with me, so get in gear and let's go.....
YOU NEED THE HCG MEDICINE TO HELP YOUR BODY STAY NOURISHED. THIS IS A 500 CALORIE DIET. I DON'T RECOMMEND TRYING THE DIET WITHOUT HCG!
Saturday, April 7, 2012
Tomorrow will my first time going to a nutritionist and my first time using the HCG pill. I am unhappy with my body weight. I'm making a promise to myself to keep the weight off this time. HCG is no longer available in stores, so I am so happy that I have a chance to do this. This will be my journal for everyone to see my progress. NO INSULTING COMMENTS, PLEASE. My journey begins TOMORROW.
Here is the website to my nutritionist, http://www.hcg-and-diet.com
I just came back from my diet nutritionist! It's going to be so awesome to have someone with knowledge and experience guiding me through everything. I have to go back once a week to check on my progress. I'm going to be taking a pill, that will dissolve under my tongue. It smells and taste like peppermint.
Here is my before pictures and a video. My weight before is 156.4!
I hate my flabby under arms! You're outta here! :)
Does anyone have a big shirt they can loan me....Ha!
(You know what, now that I've lost all this weight, I'm looking back at these pictures and I don't I look that bad. The scary part, is that when I gain weight, it sneaks up on me! I always think that I look fine. Even though I lost weight, I steal see this person...slightly. I hate that.)
Friday, April 13, 2012Happy Friday the 13th!
Tomorrow, is my appointment second day with the nutritionist. I'm doing pretty well because I've lost 6 pounds in four days, so far. The pill dissolves really fast. My weight is now 150.6! Not far to go. I'm anxious to see what my weight will be a month from now. How exciting!
Sunday, April 15, 2012
Alright! Today I weigh 146.6! WOW. I went to the nutritionist yesterday and my doctor told me that my weight will fluctuate. I may lose 2 pounds, or 4 pounds on some days. He also said, that if I keep up the work, I should be at 136 at the end of my diet. I believe it will be less than that, but I guess we'll have wait and see. As long as I'm losing weight, that's all I care about! Ha! So, everything is going as planned. I think that I may continue eating healthy after I'm finished. Food obviously does not get along with my mid-section and legs! What really helps is that I've been using a free program called "Lose It!" to keep track of my food and calories. I will continue using it after my diet. Here is the link http://www.loseit.com
If you want to be added to my lose it account, just leave your email in the comment box and I will send you an email request, as soon as possible.

Yay! I've lost 10 pounds! So happy and the next day I lost another pound. Non-stop weight loss. I love it!
Monday, April 23, 2012
Well I decided that I no longer need to go to the doctor to be measured. I told him that I will be there 2 weeks before my diet is finished. So far I weigh 141.8! How exciting!
(I journaled off and on to give you an idea of what I was doing)

I went to the CVS pharmacy today and found out that HCG was recalled, plus they couldn't tell me why! The diet worked great for me.
I went home, googled, and found this out:

Heathers Chicken and Seafood Gumbo with Miracle Rice

Recipe time: 1 hour
I'm from Louisiana and my family is French. We love cajun food! We love seafood! I remember growing up and eating boiled seafood every weekend outside on the picnic table or in the dining room surrounded by family. Those are some my favorite memories.
My mother passed on, but her memory will always live on in my heart. We lived with my grandmother, and her cooking is amazing. I remember them fussing over who made the best gumbo.(grandma won always) I still remember walking home from school and I could smell something being stewed in someone's kitchen, three blocks away. It always ended up being at my grandmothers house. Eventually, I started playing the guessing game. "Could it be chicken stew, shrimp stew, seafood gumbo, chicken and sausage gumbo....". Sometimes I would guess right. Most of the time, I enjoyed being surprised. My favorite surprise, would be when my mother would say, "It's gumbo!".
Great food and family is my way to connect with my culture! Just remember that you read it first here and respect that this is my family recipe. This share is recorded by date and time shared and don't you forget it! Mine all mine! I'll share as much as I should (mainly because I don't want to share.). Enjoy! Mais C'est Bon!
Still trying to show my boyfriend, after three years, so he helped me with the prep work! Every ingredient has to be added at a certain time and follow certain steps, to get it just perfect!
Seasoning Season and brown chicken and turkey sausage
Season and flour okra
Fry okra, to remove the slime. (some people like
it, though)
Finished frying okra.
oil from the top of the gumbo. Pull it up slowly.
All the oil will be gone after 3 rounds! Makes a big
difference in the taste. I promise! Try it, if you don't
believe me. ;)
Bowl of Miracle Rice:

Seasoning Season and brown chicken and turkey sausage
Cut onions, peppers, and garlic
Make Roux: Don't think I'm telling you how I do this,
for a second!(I will tell you to, use a wooden spoon)
Add onion, peppers, and garlic
Stir broth slowly, into
onions, peppers, and garlic, using a wooden spoon.
Stir in stewed tomatoes. (Normally, I have a glass of wine
at this point, too! Lol)
- THIS okra STEP IS DONE, WHILE YOU MAKE THE ROUX SAUCE
- WITH BROTH AND TOMATOE:
(Because you are going to add the fried okra, chicken, turkey sausage, and seafood, afterwards)
Fry okra, to remove the slime. (some people like
it, though)
Finished frying okra.
- Add chicken, turkey sausage, and okra to stewed tomatoe and broth.
- Cook for 45 minutes, stir every 20 minutes
- After 45 minutes, add frozen crabs and shrimp. Cook for 15 minutes. If seafood is not frozen, cook gumbo for 55 minutes, add seafood for only approx. 5 minutes.
oil from the top of the gumbo. Pull it up slowly.
All the oil will be gone after 3 rounds! Makes a big
difference in the taste. I promise! Try it, if you don't
believe me. ;)
Bowl of Miracle Rice:
Dry miracle rice on a napkin,
approximately 3 different napkins, is what I do.
Secret weapon. Add to gumbo at the end
and you can add a little to your gumbo,
as it cooks in the beginning, too.
Sha baby, you have cooked a gumbo!
(The radish and lettuce is for decoration.)
